You’re the Superstar, The Key Player In the Game

I get it, I hear you I felt the same way too.

No one can run your business like you. No one would take care of your clients as well as you do.

And let’s face it your pretty cool with your skills as well.

In a perfect world, your business would have legions of fans who are queuing up at the door for your advice. People who want you to help them and you can just show up as your awesome self.

But in our real world things don’t happen that way.

And again I need to ask you….

Did You Build Your Business Based On You?

And here is why I ask that question.

This morning at my orthodontist, my first check up after 3 years of pain stacking bracers and adjustments. As I started to explain my drama, finding a new dentist, to do some much needed root canal work…(Won’t go into all the gory details here) 

He asked me, did I know my normal dentist had a major motor bike accident and she ended up with a broken leg and arm.

I had no idea, as I was never contacted with something simple like an email explaining the situation.

With no replacement dentist and a closed shop, it confirmed with me ……Having a client focused business and not a freedom focused business can be major challenge for you the business owner.

Sure, I get it,  there would be insurance but with all the staff and the clients needing attention…. no contact made!

How much impact do you think that would have on your business?

After experiencing a similar challenge a number of years ago, one of my key mentors shared some major wisdom with me.

He said…

Take Some Great Advice and Diversify!

Yes, having staff capable of filling your position is essential but more to the point…

You know how investment advisers and financial planners tell their clients and customers to diversify in order to protect against financial disaster striking one asset?

Diversification just makes good sense for business and you can see what I mean here at this Free Training.

If you only do one or two things and you’ve built your business around that and if something changes or goes wrong … you’ll be a a troubled person!

Today’s economy is telling everyone, you cannot do one or two things!

First of all, it’s never going to create for you the income heights you are capable of. Secondly it makes poor planning to count on one or two things to consistently work. Life isn’t that smooth.

I wish it were, but it ain’t!

I love Dan Kennedy’s brilliant analogy..

What if you only had one door to get into your business, and they chopped up the road, blocking the entrance to your store. How would people get to you to do business with you? But if you had ten doors open (You online store being a number of those doors) at least some people would be able to get to you….

Pretty cool don’t you think..
